L3Harris is a global leader in aerospace and defense technology, and their TAC4 facility required top-tier infrastructure to support its high-performance operations. Wired Communications was chosen to ensure their new Hagerman designed and built facility would have a robust and future-proofed data and communications network.

The Challenges

L3Harris needed a comprehensive cabling solution for its TAC4 facility that could handle the demands of multiple interconnected systems, labs, and workstations, all while ensuring optimal network performance and reliability. With stringent requirements for security, speed, and seamless communication across departments, Wired Communications had to deliver a solution that would exceed expectations.

Our Solution

Wired Communications delivered a full-scale buildout of the TAC4 facility's infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Key elements of our solution included:

• IDF Room Buildouts
  We designed and equipped 4 IDF rooms with racks, cable trays, and comprehensive bonding systems for optimal signal integrity and grounding.

• Centralized Cable Tray Pathways
  We installed main cable tray pathways to create a centralized, accessible framework for easy future upgrades and maintenance.

• Fiber and Copper Backbone Deployment
  We deployed single-mode fiber and 25-pair copper backbones to each IDF, ensuring reliable, high-speed data transmission across the facility.

• APL Lab Connectivity
  We executed over 50 single-mode fiber runs connecting APL labs and universal drops to the APL data center, enabling high-speed, low-latency communication between critical systems.

• Cat6 Cabling
  More than 500 Cat6 cables were installed to connect workstations, access points, and cameras throughout the facility, providing secure and fast data access.
