WIRED FROM THE GROUND UP: OUR HISTOry

Since day one, we’ve built our success on not just complying with, but exceeding industry standards. Following that north star, we’ve gone from humble beginnings to building network systems for some of the most impressive construction projects in the midwest.

1968

KLF Founded by Charles Kitchen and two other partners

1992

KLF Expands into Structured Cabling

1993

BICSI RCDD Certification: Shortly after joining the team, Charles’ son Kyle begins management of KLF’s Cabling effort and achieves BICSI RCDD status.

1998

Merger & Rebrand as Expanets:After KLF was purchased by Communications Systems USA, they rebranded as Expanets

2002

G3 Technology Partners was born and purchased the Expanets Indiana business operations (what was KLF) including Kyle as Director of Operations inclusive of the Structured Cabling Division.

April 2005

Wired Founded: On April 26, 2005, Wired Communications was created by Kyle Kitchen through an asset purchase arrangement with G3 to further grow the cabling business in a more independent, nimble, and cost effective business model.

July 2005

Wired, with 6 employees and an office in Fort Wayne and Indianapolis Indiana formally begins its own Business Operations.

2013

New Office in Augusta: To better serve one of our valued long-term clients, we opened a third permanent office in Augusta, GA

2017

Indianapolis, IN Office is moved: As a result of continued growth from serving our clients across Central & Southern Indiana, we moved our Indianapolis office to an updated and expanded facility

2020

Augusta, GA Office is moved: As a result of continued growth from serving our clients across Georgia, we moved our Augusta office to an updated and expanded facility.

2024

Thanks to an ever-expanding client base, we started operations in Columbus Ohio

2024

Updated Branding & Website: To support our next phase of growth, we underwent a brand refresh with a new logo and new website!

2025
