Project Overview
We were tasked with upgrading the cabling infrastructure at East Noble High School. The project required careful coordination with school activities, and we worked closely with the IT department and school personnel to ensure minimal disruption during school hours while maintaining a focus on efficiency and performance.
The Challenges
Besides the built-in complexity of installing across a large, complex facility, we faced two main challenges during this project:
- Working During School Sessions:
To minimize classroom disruptions, our team worked nights and weekends. The cabling installation had to accommodate various activities, including:Athletics: Our team carefully coordinated around practices and games to ensure installation didn’t interfere with athletic events.
Arts & Music: With shows, plays, and music performances happening throughout the project, we carefully scheduled our work to avoid impacting student performances.
Navigating an Evolving Building Layout:
East Noble High School had undergone multiple renovations and additions over the years, creating complex and sometimes hidden pathways. We had to creatively navigate these challenges, identifying covered or overused pathways and ensuring that the new cabling infrastructure efficiently connected all parts of the building.
Our Solution
We successfully upgraded the cabling infrastructure by leveraging our experience in working around tight schedules and complex building layouts. Through effective planning and collaboration with school personnel, we completed the project with minimal disruption to daily school activities.
